P02B3 - Cylinder 6 Injector Drift Rich Offset at Max Limit

Technical Description
Code P02B3 is set when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects that the fuel trim for cylinder 6 has reached its positive adaptation limit. This indicates the system is trying to compensate for a lean condition by increasing the injector's pulse width until it can no longer compensate further. The ECM monitors this via the crankshaft position sensor (performance/contribution test) and Oxygen/AFR sensors. If the drift offset exceeds the maximum threshold, the code is stored.
Possible Causes
Clogged or partially restricted fuel injector for cylinder 6.
Intake manifold vacuum leak specifically affecting cylinder 6.
Faulty fuel pressure regulator or low overall fuel pressure.
Mechanical engine issue on cylinder 6 (e.g., low compression or worn cam lobe).

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
