Technical Description
Fault code P02B8 is stored when the Engine Control Unit (ECU) reaches the maximum adaptive learning limit for fuel compensation on cylinder 10 injector. The ECU is attempting to compensate for a lean condition by increasing the injector pulse width (Duty cycle), but the adjustment has hit its upper ceiling. This typically points towards a restricted fuel flow through the injector, a clogged internal filter, or high resistance in the wiring circuit, causing a delivery deficit compared to the stoichiometric requirements detected via O2 sensor feedback.
Possible Causes
Clogged or restricted fuel injector on cylinder 10
Faulty fuel injector (internal resistance or mechanical binding)
High resistance or corrosion in the injector connector
Intake manifold air leak specifically at cylinder 10

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
