Technical Description
P02BA indicates that the Engine Control Unit (ECU) has reached its maximum adaptive fuel trim limit for cylinder 11. The ECU is attempting to compensate for a lean condition by increasing the injector pulse width but has exceeded the calibrated compensation threshold. The system monitors crankshaft acceleration via the CKP sensor to determine individual cylinder torque contribution. If cylinder 11 provides insufficient contribution, the ECU adds fuel until the limit is reached. Typically found in heavy-duty or high-performance V12 engines.
Possible Causes
Clogged or faulty fuel injector for cylinder 11
Ignition system malfunction (spark plug or coil) causing incomplete combustion
Vacuum leak or intake manifold air leak specifically at cylinder 11
Low mechanical compression or valvetrain issues on cylinder 11

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
