Technical Description
DTC P02C6 is stored when the Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects that the fuel injector for cylinder 11 is leaking or stuck partially open. The ECU monitors the fuel trims and individual cylinder contribution; if it reaches a 'rich limit' (maximum negative correction) for cylinder 11, it concludes that the injector is not sealing correctly. This can lead to unburnt fuel entering the exhaust stream, risking catalyst overheating and engine oil dilution.
Possible Causes
Defective or dirty fuel injector for cylinder 11 (leaking/stuck open)
Short to ground in the injector control circuit (keeping it energized)
Ignition system misfire on cylinder 11 (unburnt fuel detected as rich mixture)
Mechanical engine problem affecting cylinder 11 compression
Internal ECM hardware or software fault

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
