Technical Description
Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P02F4 is triggered when the Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects an abnormally high voltage within the fuel injector control circuit for cylinder 6. This typically indicates a short to voltage (B+) condition. The ECU monitors the feedback voltage and duty cycle of the injector. If the voltage remains high when it should be low, or if there is unintended voltage bleed into the circuit, the ECU flags this fault. To prevent engine or catalyst damage, the ECU may enter a limp mode or disable fuel injection for that specific cylinder.

- Visual Inspection: Inspect wiring and the connector for injector 6 for chafing or melted insulation. Check for moisture or corrosion in the terminal.
- Resistance Test: Disconnect the injector. Measure resistance across the injector pins. Standard values are typically 12-16 Ohms (high impedance) or 2-5 Ohms (low impedance). Check OEM specs.
- Voltage Check: With ignition ON, check if the control wire has a constant 12V short to ground/power. Use a multi-meter to verify circuit integrity.
- Oscilloscope Analysis: Perform a current ramp test to see the injector's behavior under load and identify intermittent shorts.
- Replacement: If wiring is sound and the injector fails resistance tests, replace injector 6 and clear the DTC.
