Technical Description
P02F6 is stored when the Engine Control Unit (ECU) reaches its maximum adjustment limit for the cylinder 7 fuel injector. In modern common rail systems, the ECU performs 'Zero Quantity Calibration' (ZQC) or 'Small Quantity Learning' to maintain smooth idling and emissions control. If the injector's physical characteristics deviate so much that the ECU's software compensation reaches its ceiling (Max Limit), this code is triggered. It usually relates to the injector's inability to precisely meter fuel during pilot injection pulses.
Possible Causes
Worn or clogged fuel injector (Cylinder 7)
Incorrect IMA/IQA calibration code entered in the ECU
Air in the fuel system or low fuel rail pressure
Combustion issues (low compression) in cylinder 7

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
