Technical Description
P0368 is a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) for 'Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit High (Bank 1)'. This occurs when the Power Train Control Module (PCM) receives a voltage signal from the camshaft position sensor circuit that is consistently higher than the calibrated limit. This typically points to an open circuit (loss of ground) or a short to voltage in the signal wire. Sensor 'B' usually refers to the exhaust camshaft sensor. The PCM uses this signal to determine the exact timing of the engine cycle for fuel injection and ignition timing control.
Possible Causes
Faulty Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor (internal failure)
Open circuit or corrosion in the sensor ground wire
Short to voltage (5V or 12V) in the signal wiring harness
Reluctor ring/tone wheel damage or PCM internal failure

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
