What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) checks the voltage across the motor used to unlock the tailgate. The fault is stored when the voltage is incorrect, which is due to the circuit having a break or the unlock motor being damaged. The function of the tailgate control module is then limited.
Possible causes
- The circuit has an open circuit
- The unlock motor is damaged
What you can do
- 1Check the fuse for the tailgate control module in the fuse box. Its location is shown in the owner's manual or on the cover of the box
- 2Look for breaks and loose connectors on the wire to the unlock motor
- 3Clear the code and open the tailgate with the button. If the fault returns, a workshop should check the circuit and the motor with diagnostic equipment
