What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) monitors the voltage across the motor that closes the tailgate. It has found that the signal voltage from the closing motor is not correct, which means the circuit is broken. The cause is then usually a break in the cable to the motor or a damaged motor.

- Open circuit
- Damaged tailgate closing motor
What you can do
- 1Read off and clear the fault code, test drive and see whether it returns
- 2Check that the tailgate fuses are intact
- 3Check that the tailgate opens and closes easily by hand without anything sticking
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the cable to the closing motor has no break in it
- 5Check that the connectors at the motor and the control module are firmly seated and free from corrosion
- 6If the cable is intact: have a workshop with diagnostic equipment check the motor
