What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) keeps count of how many times it has reset, and the count has become too high. A reset happens when the control module loses its supply voltage, which can be due to a weak battery or another voltage loss. The fault lies in the control module itself.

- Internal fault in the tailgate control module (POT)
What you can do
- 1Check the condition of the battery, since a weak battery can make the control module lose its voltage
- 2Check that the battery terminals and the connections to the car battery are clean and secure
- 3Clear the fault code and test drive to see whether it returns
- 4If no cause for the voltage loss is found: have a workshop confirm the newest software is loaded into the control module
- 5If the fault remains: have a workshop replace the tailgate control module (POT)
