What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) has received inconsistent read-back signals from an internal relay that feeds voltage to the tailgate opening motor. The fault may lie in the control module or in the hydraulic pump. The tailgate's functions may then be limited.
Possible causes
- Internal fault in the tailgate control module (POT)
- Internal fault in the hydraulic pump
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and test drive the tailgate to see whether the fault returns
- 2Check that the fuses for the tailgate are intact
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: check that the hydraulic pump relay status follows as the tailgate opens and closes automatically
- 4If the fault returns: have a workshop check that the newest software is loaded into the control module
- 5If the fault remains: have a workshop replace the tailgate control module (POT)
