What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) measures the voltage from the hydraulic pressure sensor and has found an incorrect value. The circuit appears to be short-circuited to ground or broken, and the cause is a short to ground in the sensor. The tailgate's functions may then be limited.
Possible causes
- The hydraulic pressure sensor is short-circuited to ground
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the tailgate are intact
- 2Read off and clear the fault code, test drive and see whether it returns
- 3If you have a diagnostic tool: with ignition on, check the hall sensor status; a short or open-circuit reading means the cable should be checked next
- 4Use a multimeter to check that the wiring harness to the hall sensor has no contact with ground
- 5Check that the connector at the control module is firmly seated and free from corrosion
- 6If the wiring harness is intact: have a workshop replace the control module and the hydraulic components

- The central locking for the tailgate does not work
- Automatic opening and closing of the tailgate does not work
