What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) controls the hydraulic opening and closing of the tailgate. The voltage reading coming back from the hydraulic pump motor is wrong, which most often means a broken circuit or a damaged pump motor. The tailgate's functions may then be limited.

- Open circuit
- Damaged hydraulic pump motor
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the tailgate are intact
- 2If you have a diagnostic tool: activate the hydraulic pump motor and listen for it to start
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the cable to the hydraulic pump has no break
- 4Check that the connectors at the pump and the control module are firmly seated and free from corrosion
- 5If the cables are intact: have a workshop replace the control module and the hydraulic components
