What does this fault code mean?
The tailgate control module (POT) controls the hydraulic function and has found that the relay circuit to the hydraulic pump is short-circuited to ground. The fault can also be due to a damaged pump motor. The tailgate's functions may then be limited.
Possible causes
- The harness feeding the pump is shorted to ground
- Damaged pump motor
What you can do
- 1Clear the fault code and test drive to see whether it returns
- 2Check that the fuses for the tailgate are intact
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the harness to the pump has no contact with ground
- 4Check that the harness is undamaged where it runs to the pump and that the connectors are firmly seated
- 5If the harness is intact: have a workshop check the pump and replace the control module if needed

- The tailgate is hard to open
- The tailgate is hard to close
- The central locking for the tailgate does not work
- Automatic opening and closing of the tailgate does not work
