What does this fault code mean?
The supply to the hall sensors in the tailgate motor has battery voltage when it should not. The tailgate control module (POT) has detected this, and the cause is a short circuit to battery voltage in the supply.
Possible causes
- Short circuit to battery voltage in the supply
What you can do
- 1Check that the fuses for the tailgate are intact
- 2Read off and clear the fault code, test drive and see whether it comes back
- 3Use a multimeter to check that the supply cable to the hall sensors has no voltage against the battery positive when it should not
- 4Check that the connectors at the hall sensors and the control module are firmly seated and free from corrosion
- 5If the cables are intact: have a workshop check the hall sensors and the control module
