Nissan Bosch EDC17C42 Engine Control Unit (ECU)

The Bosch EDC17C42 is an advanced engine control unit based on the Infineon TriCore architecture, specifically developed for Nissan diesel applications. This unit introduced improved exhaust gas treatment management and injection strategies compared to previous EDC16 generations. The system utilizes internal DFlash for storing immobilizer data and calibration parameters, requiring specific methods for data transfer.

Symptoms often include limited engine power under load, rough idling, or recurring fault codes related to the EGR system flow capacity.
