Technical Description
P006F is stored when the Engine Control Unit (ECU) detects an implausible correlation between the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor and the Turbocharger/Supercharger (TC/SC) inlet pressure sensor. The ECU compares these signals during specific conditions, typically Key On Engine Off (KOEO) or at idle, where both sensors should report near-identical atmospheric pressure. If the deviation exceeds a defined threshold (typically >1.5 psi / 10 kPa) for more than 5 seconds, the code is triggered to maintain engine protection and boost control accuracy.
Possible Causes
Faulty MAP sensor or TC/SC inlet pressure sensor (contamination/oil on sensor element)
Intake system leaks or boost hose leaks
Damaged wiring or corrosion in connectors (high resistance)
Faulty Engine Control Unit (ECU) or software issue

Mechanic's Tip
Before replacing expensive components, always double-check wiring and connections. 80% of all sensor faults are actually due to corroded contacts or broken wires.
