Bosch EDC17CP44 Engine Control Unit (ECU)

The Bosch EDC17CP44 is an advanced engine control unit based on the TriCore architecture, specifically developed for high-performance diesel engines within Audi and Porsche. This unit introduced improved management of complex exhaust after-treatment systems and more precise injection control compared to the previous EDC16 generation. It utilizes the TC1797 processor to handle real-time data from a large number of sensors and actuators in modern diesel applications.

Rough engine operation at idle or under load, as well as sporadic ignition faults that can be traced to specific injection stages within the control unit.
